Our story

We believe in biotechnology for a better future. We have a stake in tomorrow, so we’re working hard to create safer, stronger, and more sustainable approaches to growing crops and ensuring food security – for the benefit of farmers, consumers, and our communities.

We’re Trillium. Grow with us.

Built to be different

Trillium brings innovation and agility to overcome enduring challenges and declining efficacy in crop protection. Fusing breakthrough IP in RNAi with novel proteomics and artificial intelligence, our Agrisome platform provides new ways to deliver a range of biopesticides with far greater precision and efficacy – and far less environmental and economic impact on farming.

Since day one, Trillium has taken a different path to these problems, combining diverse perspectives and disciplines in a distinctive new approach to agtech. Our aim is to identify and develop more safe and efficient biologicals with an expansive, easily scalable set of applications in modern agriculture.

We focus our efforts on the early phases of the pipeline to accelerate research and value generation for companies seeking safer, durable, high-performance solutions for their current and future markets.

Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer

Todd was the co-founder and CEO of OligoEngine, the biotech industry’s first niche digital marketplace and a pioneering company in computational science for RNAi. He is also the founder and CEO of Halo-Bio, where he is the inventor of Trillium Ag’s core platform technologies: MV-RNA, MV nanoparticles, the Agrisome platform for aptamer-driven bio-nanoparticle surface formulation.

Paul Olivier, Ph.D.

Paul Olivier, Ph.D.

Chief Science Officer

Paul is the former principal research scientist and an inventor at Targeted Growth, Inc. At TGI he applied genetic adaptations and biotechnology to a variety of commercial and emerging crops to produce significant yield increases that were validated over multiple years and in large-scale field trials. He is a recognized expert in biological modification for the fields of plant genomics and crop biotechnology.

Neal Gutterson, Ph.D.
